As a Brit. now living in Poland, when I made that momentous decision to build my own aircraft, it came at a time in my life when I knew that if I didn't do it now, I never would. As a long term member of the PFA or LAA as it is known now, one day whilst sitting in the "small room" reading the current magazine in 2012 I came across Francis's description and flight test of the Bristell. From that moment on, the decision was made. My current aircraft was a Zenair CH701 which was a real fun aircraft to fly. I had bought this aircraft from the owner of a small aircraft service Company in Kromeriz in the Czech Republic who later became a close friend. Marek was then the senior test pilot for CZAW who at that time built Zenith aircraft and later, the Sportcruiser which being a cousin of the Bristell, I had greatly admired when it first appeared. At that time, Milan Bristella was part of the design team for the Sportcruiser at CZAW so it was no surprise that when he started BRM Aero and designed the Bristell it should bear a close resemblance to the Sportcruiser. As my CH701 was Czech registered, I was a member of the Czech LAA and held a Czech Ultralight licence. So it made sense when I made the decision to build the Bristell that rather than register it in Poland, I would stay with the Czech LAA and register it there. This was not a problem as being a member of the Polish Ultralight Association, I had found that nearly all Ultralights were Czech registered so we shared the cost of the bi-annual visit by the inspector. So, on August 8th, 2015, my 72 birthday, I took to the air for the first time in my Bristell NG5 Ultralight which had taken me just over a year to complete in my first year of retirement. The Reg I chose to coincide with this day being OK- TUA 72 (Today U Are 72).

Nice story! You know a lot about CZAW, BRISTELL...Do you know what connection is between two and CZAW, BRISTELL and another czech company ROKO? Basically all those aircrafts are exactly and the same...

Was it you who flew your Bristell to the LAA Rally at Sywell this past weekend? It certainly attracted a lot of attention. I wonder whether you can tell me the serial number of your aircraft, as I am trying to compile a listing of all of these wonderful aircraft.

Basically all those aircrafts are exactly and the same... I believe that ROKO was the original Company that was formed with Milan Bristella and Jiří Konečný when the left CZAW, the first aircraft designed was the NG4, the forerunner of the current Bristell NG5.
